The adventure begins from the Sami hut on the shore where you receive all the necessary equipment for the trip. The boat is loaded with spinning rods, lures and landing nets. With your life vest on you then head for the lake. First you pass the idyllic Keimiöniemi fishing huts, which are an essential part of the fishing tradition of Lake Jeris. After that the boat ride to the best fishing grounds will take only ten minutes.
When you reach the fishing grounds known only by few locals you can lower your lures and the hunt for the giant pike can begin. The best lures and grounds promise a catch and it is well known that there are several old pikes lurking in the waters decorated with lures. Maybe the old, cunning one-eyed one will finally get caught. You will troll for about two hours surrounded by the majestic fells before returning to the shore.
On the shore you will enjoy delicious pike sandwiches and coffee made on open fire. If you want, you can take the catch with you, ready boned and filleted.
